Audio Interview with London Bookfair Manager Emma House, conducted by Nigel Beale

Posted in AUDIO Bookfairs on May 3rd, 2006

Right in the middle of the London Bookfair, this past March, Exhibition Manager Emma House sat down and told me everything I wanted to know about what takes place at Bookfairs. We talk about selling rights, distribution, literary agents, publishers, wholesalers, and the fact that she, Emma, doesn’t have a book in her.

Neil Wilson, Director, Ottawa International Writers Festival – Audio Interview with Nigel Beale

Posted in AUDIO Bookfairs, Authors and Books on April 11th, 2006

Malcolm Muggeridge’s photo from here. NB: This is not Neil Wilson. I couldn’t find a picture of Neil. Neil looks much, much younger than Malcolm, although there is something lovely in him that reminds me of old St. Mug.

I conducted this Biblio File interview on April 5 with Neil , former journalist/broadcaster, future publisher, current long distance runner and Founding Director of the Ottawa International Writers Festival. We talk about Neil’s love of Irish literature and poetry, his founding of the Ottawa International Writers Festival in 1997, what motivates him to do what he does, and this Spring’s impressive, Beckett backed line-up which goes on stage starting April 17, 2006.
