Praise for The Biblio File:

From Novelist MARGOT LIVESEY "You ask the most brilliant, thoughtful questions, it’s really a pleasure to do an interview where someone actually wants to talk about writing and literature in general."

#####

From DONALD ANTRIM, novelist and regular contributor to The New Yorker. "Speaking with you has been a real pleasure — thank you for your insight into this book and its story, for the conversation that came from such good and thoughtful consideration…"

#####

From TRACY QUAN, author and former prostitute living in New York. Her novels include Diary of a Married Call Girl and Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl, which has been optioned by the same company that produced Sex in the City. "I have been getting fantastic responses to my interview with Nigel Beale which aired on CKCU in the fall. CKCU (93.1 FM) is Canada’s oldest alternative news radio station and Beale is one provocative, funny, surprising host."

#####

From ANNE DEGRACE, librarian, writer, illustrator, author of ‘Heather’s Pick’ novel Treading Water (McArthur & Company, 2005) which has already gone into second printing. "There is an irreverence to Nigel Beale’s interviewing style, not for the subject, which is treated with respectful and informed curiosity, but for the conventions of inquiry, Canadian-style. What you get is an edgier sort of probe, and while it can at times be disconcerting for the subject/victim, the truth is that, once you find your feet, it’s refreshing. My advice: let your guard down and turn up your sense of humour a notch. Meet every question with the same honesty with which it was posed, and enjoy the ride."

#####

From DAVID GILMOUR, Winner 2005 Governor General’s Fiction Award for A Perfect Night to go to China: "an excellent interview, almost as annoying and provocative as I remember being accused of…"

#####

From CS RICHARDSON, Winner of numerous Alcuin Awards (Canada’s highest honour for excellence in book design) "…one of the most enjoyable conversations in recent memory…Thanks for a terrific conversation…"
