Audio Interview with the British Council’s Juliet Wragge-Morley conducted by Nigel Beale.
The British Council’s contemporarywriters.com website is a ‘unique, searchable database [that] contains up-to-date profiles of some of the UK and Commonwealth’s most important living writers – biographies, bibliographies, critical reviews, prizes and photographs. Searchable by author, genre, nationality, gender, publisher, book title, date of publication and prize name and date, it’s a heavenly site. I visit it often.
Here is my conversation with site manager (this isn’t an important enough sounding title for the very important work she does) Juliet Wragge-Morley: If you like what she’s doing, you can let her know at juliet.wragge-morley@britishcouncil.org

Hello,
I am confused. I was under the impression that if one submitted their URL that it would be judged as to fitness for inclusion into your book listings with the provision that your web site is listed on my URL.
This was done, however I’ve not received a notice of refusal, nor am I able to find either of my American books listed with you.
My confusion: Is your website strictly for people residing in the UK?
Kind regards,
Jean Sidney Blomquist
